To be or not to be ‘Bitter’ Karl Rove
How dare he…normally i could care less about what Karl Rove has to say, however, this time I had to speak up for the RgularJoe. Your boy Rove went off on the Big Homie (Barack Obama) about his ‘bitter’ statements. The problem with his argument is that people actually do cling to religion, guns, and whatever else they can find to provide them comfort.
Now I am not attempting to make this a dialog about religion; however, I am pretty confidant that people have fallen to their knees in prayer over the present foreclosure crisis. With the number of people losing their houses you are telling me that people haven’t either been questioning Gods intent or asking for a miracle to keep them from losing their home. Let’s be real about this, because I know I have prayed hard for far lesser issues…like my statistics class when I was attending BSU. Shoot, I couldn’t have that one class keep me from walking across that stage…what would that look like. So you know JC and I had our fair share of conversations about.

Was I right to do that? No. But is there any shame in it? Absolutely not. In fact, I believe God even asks us to seek comfort in him. If I’m wrong please correct me. But whenever things are uncomfortable or we need shelter from trying situations I believe we should look to God for solace. Its better than someone turning to alcohol or drugs or physically/verbally abusing someone to increase your shattered self-esteem.
And if you guys are honest with yourselves I think you can see the truth in what I am saying. Is it possible that you might not like it…sure! Could it make you feel uncomfortable about your character faults? Absolutely. But that’s the point of this entire campaign. To begin the conversation that helps to bring this country together. We are all missing a once in the life time opportunity to affect change that impacts generations…and for what. Because we are too f’d up admit that we all have problems
So here is what I’d like to do…invite Karl Rove or any person who believes as Karl does to discuss those comments with me without trying to score political points for their candidate. At the end of the day Barack was attempting to explain why people have a hard time accepting things and people that are different than them. If you need some reminding that there are people that aren’t easily accepting of people who are different, click here or here for articles that talk about those ‘clingy’ individuals.

And if you guys are honest with yourselves sadly, you take them to be reasonable people who actually use their minds instead of just spewing hatred to hide their own fear of the unknown.
they will deny the reality, that they too are affected by all of this, determined to maintain their ideologies over their own best interests.
otherwise point well made

I definitely understand what you are saying. I guess the idealist in me is hoping that there are enough people who are willing to openly discuss these topics. Otherwise, I will become more & more frustrated and cynical of this society. I can’t let that happen for my daughter, because I want her to keep an excited outlook on life and she will first see the world through my eyes.
Thanks for the comment

I think that it is possible to keep an excited outlook about the world while seeing the world and these dangerous blowhards for who they are. Rove, Mc Same, Bush, the whole old crowd of kings, they are a dangerous bunch. I am teaching my daughter to be eager to embrace the world while seeing the dangers. The GOP and the Bush team has gone to great Orwellian feats to buzz the American public on trigger words. But now I think the cloak is off the boozehounds drunk on blood beyond the curtain and they are being unmasked. But there is still a wide swath of Americans that “fear the other.” Barak represents that fear to them and the GOP is gonna go gangbusters on trying to play to these fears and keep the death machine going.
Send love there way, backed up by the fist of evidence. Because we don’t want to become our enemy by defeating them…We want to win their hearts and minds. Your call to go heart to heart with these jokers is valiant, but I think pointless. It’s like trying to talk Hannibal Lecter outta cannibalism when your trapped in a cell with him and he’s hungry. Boy’s only got one thing on his mind.
Peace out –

On first view of the picture, I assumed it was you walking into an Obama Campaign office, doing your small part in something good, but then on my second travel through here, I noticed the reality of it!
That is really sad! Some pathetic Eff’s vandalizing the office and all! Where was this picture from? I just started volunteering for Obama, because I’m fed up with it all and need to do my part and it is uplifting:)
I just started my blog to get some stuff off my chest and be upbeat and express some positive views. Unfortunately, I see the same idiots that pulled the same crap as in the picture pervade this site too and find myself in a war of negativity with them. Like I mentioned, can’t reason with them, so I hope I can start overlooking the ignorance, racism & hatred so prevalent here.
What just blows my mind, is 99% of the people behind all of this, lose absolutely nothing from him [Obama] winning the Whitehouse. I’m willing to guarantee not a one of them make over $100k a year, so therefore not a one of them has gained or been assisted in any way whatsoever by the current liars & thieves in office. Ideology clouds their ability to objectively view their very own reality.
Drop in, leave a comment (preferably on one of my positive posts) if you would be so kind
